By Jack Bubany

Today, we announced that Identiv’s uTrust TS ScramblePad Government Reader is now included on the U.S. government’s FICAM Approved Products List (APL).

Why Does This Matter?
Each approved product on the APL undergoes rigorous testing for security, conformance, functionality, and interoperability; and by being listed, it means the product has been approved for procurement by U.S. federal agencies.

Our uTrust TS ScramblePad joins the mullion, wall mount, and keypad models on the APL, and contributes to the larger scope of securing premises access for government agencies through our growing investments in the FICAM arena.

Get to Know the Product
The uTrust TS ScramblePad is a significant update to Identiv’s patented scrambling keypad door reader for high-security government and commercial entryways. The update modernizes its predecessor by adding new high-security features, including support for over 1,500 credentials such as PIV, PIV-I, CAC, FICAM E-PACS, PKI, DESFire EV1, MIFARE, and PLAID. Using open communication protocol standards such as Wiegand, RS-485 (OSDP), and Ethernet networking (including PoE), the uTrust TS ScramblePad offers simple migration from the previous ScramblePad to RS-485, or Ethernet-based FICAM E-PACS compliance.
