Identification Systems Group IDWire Newsletter Features Identiv’s uTrust Proximity Credentials

By Stephane Ardiley

In the December 2016 issue of Identification Systems Group (ISG) IDWire newsletter, Identiv’s uTrust Proximity Credentials received a full write up. The entire piece follows:

Identiv’s uTrust Proximity Credentials, featuring simple, low-frequency (125 KHz) contactless Proximity_Credential_Familytechnology, are a proven, reliable, and cost-effective radio frequency identification (RFID) solution for the physical access control market. Identiv’s credential portfolio has recently expanded and now supports new form factors, including silicon wristbands for demanding (harsh, humid, etc.) environments.

Wristband credentials, or ID bands, allow for convenient access to facilities, attractions, and services for temporary or long-term use. These credentials deliver a seamless experience for managing access in amusement and water parks, summer camps, sport (i.e., student athletics) and fitness centers, and healthcare environments.

Designed for comfort and available in different sizes, Identiv’s Wristband Proximity Credential is adjustable and built to withstand the rigors of active venues. This waterproof device can sustain repetitive impact, heat, moisture, and harsh chemicals, all while demonstrating high resistance to cracking or breakage. These robust bands ideally complement standard ID1/credit card-sized or alternative form factors.

For customization and adherence to corporate branding requirements, Identiv’s tamper-evident wristbands can be imprinted with a company’s logo. The wristband is also available in various colors (white and black by default), including yellow, orange, green, red, and blue by special order.

Wristband_Credential_70_mmSimilar to all of the products within Identiv’s 125 KHz credential portfolio, the wristband supports a variety of proximity technology, including HID Prox, Casi Rusco, Indala, and more. The credentials can be ordered personalized (programmed and/or printed) or non-personalized. For programming, Identiv supports a variety of different physical access control system (PACS) formats commonly available on the market, including 26, 35, 37, 48 bits, etc. If the desired format is not yet supported, the Identiv team can check and confirm whether it can be configured.

For wristbands with alternate shapes or RFID chips, including MIFARE Classic or MIFARE DESFire, please contact the Identiv team at sales@identiv.com or +1 888-809-8880. For more information on Identiv’s uTrust Proximity Credentials, please view the data sheet or ordering guide.
